Friends are added and managed through the contact list at the far right of the application. Follow these steps to add a friend:

1. Right click in the contact list.
2. Click the Add contact button.
3. Type your friends username into the Request contact field.
4. Click the OK button.

Note: You will have to wait for friends to authorize you before you can connect to them.
