This privacy policy details how we collect, store, use and protect your personal information on our website and in our client software and may be revised at any time. This policy is effective as of August 7, 2009 (the launch date of Conexme).

How and what personal information is collected

When using the Conexme service, personal information is collected about you in the following ways:

• Our website will collect your IP address and general website usage information like your browser type and the pages you viewed;
• When you sign up for our forums we will collect a username, password and email address for you to access our forums with;
• When you sign up for our client we will collect a username, password and email address for you to access our client with;
• When you use our client we will collect general networking information (e.g. public/private IP addresses and ports) and statistical information (e.g. your previous logins).

How personal information is stored and protected

Personal information that can be used to identify a specific person is securely stored on our dedicated server located in the United States. Our dedicated server, and the information within it, is protected by safeguards such as firewall and data encryption. Physical access to our dedicated server is enforced and secured by our service provider.

How collected personal information is used

Personal information will only be used to:

• provide services and support you request (e.g. launch client, reset password);
• to aid in the troubleshooting of problems.

How personal information is shared with other parties

The only time we will share your personal information with other parties is when required to do so by law enforcement or government officials.

How your system registry is used

Login, location, share, transfer and settings information for the Conexme client are stored locally inside your own computer's registry for the privacy and protection of our users. No personal information about your use of Conexme will ever be stored on our servers or be made accessible to any other parties. In other words, whatever information you share and transfer over Conexme is only known to you and the people you share and transfer it with.

How your system registry is accessed

Client login and location registry information will be accessed by the Conexme client when you have selected the option to automatically login and bind to the Conexme service. Share information (i.e. files or folders you have shared on your local computer) will be accessed by other Conexme users that you have authorized in your contact list. Transfer information will be accessed by other Conexme users that you are transferring that specific data with. Settings information will be accessed by the Conexme client when loaded.

How cookies are used

Cookies are only used when selecting the option to automatically login to our forum so that you don't need to type your username and password in every time you access it.
